Well....after two-weeks....I finally got another Archon Plate to drop on a Nihl run def-515....At present the last couple of AP's that I tried with my lvl95.....1 rec'd 1os, the other 4os.....now my question is....Is the lvl of the graphic symbol doing the cubing affect the probability of whether it gets 1,2,3 or 4?..... I appreciate the feedback... tanx Doomed

I don't think grapheme level has anything to do with it. AFAIK, it is all related to the ilvl of the affair y'all are putting holes in. If y'all cube that AP, y'all'll have a 1/half dozen take chances of getting 3, 2, or 1 os, and a 3/half dozen chance of getting 4 os.

welcome to my globe. i accept pulled an embarrasing number of one sock +3 Mat Bows, GMB's, Archons plates and eth elite polearms of diverse descriptions out of my cube this season. i accept two no sok zerks waiting for cubeing supplies...

Information technology limits the max number of sockets that the item tin can receive. For example, a crystal sword that drops in hell can get up to half dozen os. A crystal sword that drops from cold plains can only become 2 or 3 (I don't call back which).

3, I think. Something in me is proverb 3/4/six for Crystal swords. No, I don't think what ilvls those are at. Practiced dark.

Unless yous want 2 or 3 sockets on that Archon, I suggest Larzuking it, automatic 4 sockets.

iii, I think. Something in me is saying 3/4/6 for Crystal swords. No, I don't remember what ilvls those are at.
ilvl one-25/26-40/41+, for all items. I believe the offset area with alvl26 is the Outer Steppe in Normal (just in Normal alvl != mlvl, then I'thousand not certain what monsters are the proper level), and the start expanse with alvl41 is Nightmare Forgotten Tower Cellar 3. Not sure when the "to a higher place ground" areas reach 41...
If you find a Depression Quality/Croaky/Worn Archon Plate (hah!), you can put it in the Cube with an El and Chipped Gem to have a regular (white) armor with ilvl=1. Archon Plates get 3os from Larzuk at ilvl 1. Of grade, I'chiliad not sure if the defence is stock-still in the process of fixing the LQ/Cracked/Worn, so it might not be worth doing...

At that place are some trick's you can use if you lot want to become a 3 os ap. Look for low quality ones (cracked etc.) and use the the cube recipie el + chipped gem + low quality armour. This will brand a normal quality i, reroll the defense on it and set the ilvl to 1. An archon plate with ilvl 1 will become iii os from larzuk. If yous dont accept whatsoever socket quest's left you tin can employ the cube to punch holes in it, but now with much meliorate odds of getting 3. i/6 to get one socket, ane/6 to become 2 sockets and 4/6 get'due south 3 sockets.

If I had an ilvl1 Archon Plate, I'd definitely get a mule rushed or something rather than risk the chance of getting an improper number of sockets.

Heh i just completed a big round of cube-socketing stuff. Here the results: 5s Atomic number 82 - ii 4s Pb - ane 3s pb - 1 2s PB - 3 5s eth ambiguous axe - 1 1s eth thresher - ane 2s eth giant thresher - 1 4 sox ap - ane 3 sox ap - ane 2 sox ap - i 4 sox monarch - 2 2 sox monarch - 2. Equally y'all see, you lot unremarkably getting good amount of lol stuff while cube-socketing. 1-socket eth thresher was the best result

Why would you utilise the cube recipe on a Monarch? I know it's faster than using Socket quests, but the quest guaruntees 4os...

Im using quest but on superior///unique/rare/magic items. Anything that can exist socketed in the cube goes there (with the exception maybe of real skillful claws for chaos or barb helms/druid pelts but thats a very rare occasion)

I'one thousand not sure how it'll work out, but I know you can manipulate the ilvl of an item if y'all detect a cracked/depression quality i and use the cube recipe to make it "normal," then use the cube again to socket it. That volition requite information technology an ilvl of ane and unless an ilvl 1 AP tin can only get 1 or 2 sockets, you'll take a amend shot at 3.

erm, isn't a base of operations of 4 used to curl sockets when cubing armor (then a 1/iv take chances of all sockets, as opposed to ane/6 for ane, 2 and 3 socks with a /2 adventure for 4)? I was kinda under the impression it was the max that type can have (6 for wep, 4 for armor/shield, iii for helm). This still ways that a conquest sword for case gets an increased chance at four socks, just not most armors. Of course, I might be completely wrong... My suggestion, which was upgrading a low quality archon and larzuking it for iii socks seems to have already been taken, only I'll mention information technology once again. Yous might want to repeat it a few times to roll a high base of operations def.

Yes, it does, but you can only do this once since after you lot cube information technology with this recipe it is no longer low quality.
